Where to start with this wedding? I have thousands of photos I want to share, but I can’t just upload everything here. I was the wedding photographer of Lara and Wes when they had their Philippine wedding, and it was something that was very Filipino. I saw in that wedding that they wanted to do it to honor Lara’s family, to whom Filipino values and traditions are important.
So their California wedding was completely different! It was a first for me to shoot in Oakland, so the whole experience was new. Aside from the gorgeous places I was seeing, the whole wedding was quite different. Lara and Wes gathered their friends and family in Pulgas Water Temple, where one of their closest, Curtis, married them in such a heartwarming and really funny ceremony. Lara walked down the aisle to beautiful music played live by Wes and his mom too – Wes played the keyboard & his mom played the cello! And what a grand idea to hold a wedding reception in an old trial court! The hall was more than beautiful, and was the perfect venue for their celebration in the country they now call home.
