New York City has been photographed, filmed, written about many times over. In other words, it’s not new anymore to see it. Everybody knows how New York looks like, how it smells like, how it feels like, even for people who have never been there. When Allan & AK told me they were flying me there for their engagement shoot, I was posed with a challenge – to photograph them against this overexposed city that everybody has a perception of. Luckily for me, this prenup shoot let me give a fresh take on New York, one where Allan & AK’s love shows. Amidst the busyness of this city, the many stimuli one can see while walking its streets, I’m happy that in these photographs, their sweet love moves everything aside, and New York City serves but a backdrop to their wonderful love story. I will forever be grateful to you guys for bringing me to the Empire City! Your trust inspires me to push on in this passion.
