“I want to be with my wife here” was the first thought that entered my mind when the plane descended to Batanes. The word beautiful doesn’t cut it; it’s a place you have to see to really know what it’s like. These photos of my lovely couple are simply a tease to what Batanes is — vast but not loud, quiet but bold, gorgeous without having to boast. It’s a place worth one’s time, and I’m more than glad I got to spend it doing what I love – shooting weddings and engagements. There was no striving in trying to “capture” Batanes, as much as there was none in expressing through my photos the love between Nicole and Jerome.
