Wedding Planning in the time of COVID 19: Top PH Coordinators Give Top Advice

Nobody has it easy these days. But anybody can do something to give some ease. Since the pandemic started, we pivoted our brand to include help and assistance to brides, beyond taking photographs.

So far since the shift, we launched an intimate package, partnered with White Label Bridal for a promo bundle of our services and their ready-to-wear dresses, and we’ve continued to listen to our clients as they navigated wedding planning during a pandemic.

Now, we bring together the top wedding planners for their advice for couple planning a wedding, given our current situation. These are pieces of advice that only coordinators can give – they’re full of wisdom, very practical, and has so much insight on what a couple goes through as they plan their special day.

Prioritize your essentials.

We say YOUR because what is essential to one couple may be different to another.

Book early only what’s essential or priority for you, such your preferred photographer and videographer, gown, church, and wedding planner.

Choose the best suppliers, and then give them your full trust.

It is super important to book suppliers you can trust, because their roles aren’t just confined on what they’ll provide you on your wedding day. Thy will become your advisors, sounding board, and at one point, decision-maker. When you have a team of trustworthy suppliers that aren’t only good at what they do but are also able to help you in your planning, you can be confident that things will go smoothly.

Stay calm and focused.

All of the coordinators we asked said one thing: Nothing is sure.

All of them also said another, more important thing: Stay focused on your goal to get married.

It’s easy to get distracted and make rash decisions as regulations are wheeled out more often than necessary. Every time you hear news about lockdowns and rules, take a deep breath and time to think through your next steps, if there ever is a need to take one.

Give importance to the well-being of your guests and wedding suppliers.

While you are not responsible for your guests’ health, you can have peace of mind when you know that you worked with your suppliers to the best of your ability, especially in terms of making your guests feel comfortable during your wedding.

Don’t be disheartened.

Ok that sounded completely tone deaf. Let’s rephrase that: When you feel disheartened, remember why you’re getting married. And it is this: You have a love so strong and beautiful that you want to celebrate it and make a covenant with each other and with God! No pandemic can trump love right?

TESTIMONIALS

The moment we got engaged, Bryan and I knew that we wanted our photos to be bright, light and of course, timeless! Foreveryday was already on top of the list of the major suppliers we needed to book. The night we met them, my heart was so happy knowing that we were in good hands! They didn’t only help us with our photos but also extended their help in choosing other suppliers. Such generous people!

I had the opportunity to work with Foreveryday team twice! Yes, that’s right, twice! They are the photographer of our dreams and we still wonder if their cameras were touched by fairy dust as their pictures were just magical!

We knew you were the one for us the moment we stumbled upon your IG profile! Thank you for capturing our silliest and happiest moments during our wedding. Kudos for turning our awkward poses to model-esque images!
